it was a little past midnight after an evening of music, song and dance. the fireworks came like an eruption of applause in the sky. just for a moment, every dancer, singer and backstage crew member, as well as everyone sitting in the audience and those out on the field faced the heavens, as a surge of pride flowed through the veins of every malaysian.
