Fisherboy of Lake Inle

came across a young boy paddling a wooden boat on the northern areas of lake inle. he paddles the boat traditional style, with a hand and a foot. he constantly looks like he’s about fall in but his balancing is perfect. fish is then caught in a huge cone net made from bamboo.

the first time i saw this boy, he was with his little sister. when i saw him again much later that day, he was alone.
