Kenyah Lady

the participation of the entire community in dance fascinates me. where in some places, only the young ladies dance for visitors, over here, the elderly folk don colourful traditional costumes, complete with faded accessories, and perform ceremonial dances side by side their children.

  1. When I look at this I see all the color, the feathers, the gold trim, and the beading.

But all of it leads to her face.

Surrounded by this statement of ritual, in colors, she looks down in a way that feels almost shy to me.

Man, you are some photographer woman!

    Thank you,

    Kim
