sunrise upon the north-south highway

25Oct07

“We’d never know how high we are,
till we are called to rise;
and then, if we are true to plan,
our statures touch the sky.”

~ Emily Dickinson ~

the drama!!! this is a view i pass on the way to work every morning (good luck trying to figure which part of the highway this is!). today, the sun was glaring so beautifully, i pulled up on the shoulder of the road, popped up my hazard signal – just for the occasion. too afraid to step out of the car however, i simply winded down the left window, leaned over to the passenger seat and snapped from there. it was the most ridiculous angle to be in a tiny car in – but i got what i wanted.
